Why doesn't the United States have an official language?

People can easily believe that English is the official language of the United States, and why not? After all, it is the language that everyone speaks, and the one that migrants are forced to learn, but no, the United States does not have an official language.

Mistakenly one might think that because of the variety of cultures, and although the reality is not so different, the historical roots behind the founding of today's world power are the reason.

To explain it a little more, English is spoken in the United States because it was the most widely spoken language among the thirteen colonies that invaded those lands. With the passage of time, massive immigration brought with it people from all over the world, and for that reason, the founding fathers considered that it was not right to impose a language.

There have been legislative proposals, but none with sufficient support to make English the official language, and it is logical, since 536,288,358 people enter the country each year, and the numbers are increasing, it is difficult to detach from the idea of the founders, when the reasons continue to emerge stronger than ever.
